"We don't go down to their world, we certainly don't want them coming up to ours." Wow, what a way to kick off the New Year! French distributor Canal+ has posted the first official French trailer for Juan Diego Solanas' Upside Down, a futuristic sci-fi romance starring Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgessthat we've been teasing for a while with photos. Now we can see what the movie itself is all about and damn does it look good, kind of like Andrew Niccol's sci-fi mixed with the upside-down worlds concept. I can't wait to see this, 2012 looks like it'll be an amazing year for sci-fi. I hope it doesn't take too long for this to hit theaters!

Jim Sturgess stars as Adam, a seemingly ordinary guy in a very extraordinary universe. He lives humbly trying to make ends meet, but his romantic spirit holds on to the memory of a girl he met once upon a time from another world, an inverted affluent world with its own gravity, directly above but beyond reach... a girl named Eve (get the names?), played by Kirsten Dunst. That childhood flirtation becomes an impossible love. But when he catches a glimpse of grown-up Eve on television, nothing will get in the way of getting her back. Written & directed by Argentinian filmmaker Juan Diego Solanas, it doesn't have a US distributor yet.
